London, Can You Wait? couldn’t have received a better welcome!
Last Wednesday, friends and family helped me toast my second book with a bash at the Wickson Social in downtown Toronto.
We ate (mini fish ‘n’ chips, beef sliders, goat’s cheese bites and much more), drank, and made merry—and new friends!
- Mini fish ‘n’ chips
I finally met my wonderful Twitter friend Rachel! I also got to catch-up with friends I haven’t seen for years…I’m talking ten years (hi Greg, Tanya, and Mina)!
- Meeting Rachel for the first time in person. We’ve talked for ages on Twitter.
- Gabby meets Rachel…two more Twitter friends finally meeting in real life.
- Hanging with my dear friend Monica
- Natasha and Fin – adore these girls!
- Emily—dear friend and beta reader
- Books, books, books…
I signed copies of London Belongs to Me and London, Can You Wait?, and talked so much I didn’t have time to eat (again!). But I did manage to nick some cookies and ice cream. And cupcakes…aren’t they pretty?
The gift bags featuring UK and US treats from my books were a huge hit and if import sales of pickled onion Monster Munch or Cadbury chocolate buttons spike in the Toronto area, I’d like to think that I’m responsible.
Thanks to everyone who came and helped me toast London, Can You Wait?—and thank YOU for coming along on this journey with me once again. I can’t wait to hear what you think of the new book. Drop me a line, send me a tweet, or comment on my Instagram or Facebook. I love to hear from you. x (photos by Amy Buck Photography, and me!)
